Body hackle Ginger cock hackle palmered (optional) (1)
Wing Landrail or light brown/coastal hen wing quill slips tented over the body (matched pair)
Front hackle Ginger cock hackle (1-2 turns)
Head Brown material (small)
How to tie it
Lay a thread base and tie in the fine silver rib at the rear.
Wrap a slim white or cream floss body forward, then counter-wrap the silver rib in 4-5 even turns for flash and segmentation.
If desired, palmer a ginger cock hackle over the body for a fuller caddis silhouette, following the rib.
Tie in two matched light brown wing-quill slips low and tent-shaped over the body, sloping back past the bend like a resting sedge.
Wind a ginger cock hackle just behind the eye (slightly longer than a normal dry hackle so it works as a wet), then whip finish a small brown head and cement.
