Sili Legs

Reference Recipe
- Hook standard saltwater hook, 4-8
- Thread tan 6/0 (140D)
Materials
- Eyes Silver metal tape (medium bead chain, one pair)
- Wing Tan carapace (sparse craft fur or bucktail)
- Flash Pearl flashabou (few strands Krystal Flash)
- Body Tan carapace (dubbing or EP fibers)
- Legs Tan/pearl rubber legs (2-3 pairs Sili Legs)
How to tie it
- Start thread mid-shank and figure-8 the silver bead chain eyes on top of the shank at the front third, so the fly rides hook-point-up.
- At the bend tie in a sparse tan craft-fur wing one shank past the bend, with a few strands of pearl flash over it.
- Knot 2-3 pairs of tan Sili Legs and tie them in splayed at the bend, straddling the wing.
- Dub a tan body forward to the eyes and figure-8 the dubbing around and in front of them.
- Fold a couple of Sili Legs forward alongside the body as swimming legs and secure them.
- Whip finish behind the eye and cement.
