How to tie it
Slide the cone onto the hook to the eye, then wrap a wire underbody behind it and shove it up to lock the cone; this loads the front to dive nose-first.
Start thread and tie in two splayed black biots at the bend for a forked tail one gap wide.
Bind in the copper rib and a strip of Thin Skin at the bend.
Dub a fat, shaggy body forward over the front two thirds, deliberately picking it rough so it looks buggy.
At the 60% mark tie in a pair of rubber legs to each side, then dub a touch more.
Pull the Thin Skin over as a wing case, bind, add a second set of legs, and dub a short thorax to the cone.
Counter-wrap the copper rib forward through the body in 5-6 turns to segment and reinforce, tie off, whip finish behind the cone, and cement.
