Start mono thread above the hook point and tie in a clump of white SF Blend on the underside, two to two-and-a-half shank lengths long.
Tie a short bunch of orange hackle fibers at the throat. A hot-orange gill spot is a strike trigger on nearly every baitfish imitation.
Work forward in stations: at each one, tie a clump of white SF Blend below the shank and olive SF Blend above, letting each clump taper slightly longer than the last was tied. This builds the deep, tapered baitfish silhouette without bulk.
At the head, tie a final, shorter clump of olive over white, whip finish the mono, and cement.
Trim stray fibers to a smooth teardrop profile, deeper at the shoulder, tapering to a point at the tail.
Set a 3D eye on each side of the head and bond them with a coat of thick UV resin, forming a translucent solid head.
