Classic Recipe
- Hook Jig hook, 12-16
- Thread Tan 8/0
Materials
- Bead Slotted tungsten (1)
- Body Hare's ear dubbing (rough)
- Rib Red wire (spiral)
- Hot spot Fl. pink or orange thread (collar)
How to tie it
- Slide a slotted tungsten bead onto the jig hook and mount it. Start tan thread behind the bead.
- Tie in a length of red wire at the bend to hang for the rib.
- Dub a rough, buggy hare's-ear body forward to just behind the bead. A fat Walt's Worm body.
- Spiral the red wire forward in 4-5 evenly spaced turns for a segmented rib and helicopter it off.
- Build a hot collar of fluorescent pink or orange thread right behind the bead.
- Whip finish behind the bead and cement.
