Classic Recipe

  • Hook Saltwater hook, 1/0-2
  • Thread Red/white or red/yellow 3/0

Materials

  • Tail White saddle hackle (4-6 feathers)
  • Body Red saddle hackle (palmered full)
  • Flash Flashabou (sparse in tail)

How to tie it

  1. Mount hook, tie in white saddle hackle tail
  2. Add flash
  3. Tie in red hackle at bend
  4. Palmer red hackle forward full and dense
  5. Whip finish
