EP Fibers Olive, brown, black ep fibers (clumps of each)
Polar Flash Gold flashabou (a few strands)
UV resin Black (eyes) + hot yellow (body) (as needed)
How to tie it
Lay a thread base on the streamer hook. Lash a length of intruder trailer wire along the shank and slide three tungsten beads onto it to sit along the belly. The ballast that makes this toad dive and swim nose-down.
Tie in a short olive-variant magnum rabbit strip at the bend for the undulating tail, about one shank long.
Build the body from EP Fibers in reversed clumps. Tie each clump across the shank at its middle and fold it back, layering olive, then brown, then black on top, working forward toward the eye.
Comb and blend the EP body, then trim it to a broad, flat toad/sculpin profile. Wide and flat, tapering back toward the tail.
Lay a few strands of gold Polar Flash along each side.
Whip finish and cement the thread. Coat the back with hot-yellow UV resin for shape and durability, dab black UV resin low on each side for eyes, and cure each.
