Slide a red glass Bead onto the 3xl nymph/streamer hook and push it to the eye, then lock the hook in and start olive 10/0 thread behind it.
Pull a small bundle of Marabou from lower down the plume, group the tips, and strip it off the stem. Measure it against the shank so the tail is one shank long, transfer the measurement to the rear of the hook, and lock it in there.
Wrap forward over the messy butt ends to smooth them out, leaving a wispy tail. Thin the bundle out if it looks heavy.
Lay one strand of root beer Krystal Flash along the near side, bind it with a couple of wraps, fold the other half over to the far side, and walk the thread back so a strand sits on each side of the tail. Trim them slightly longer than the tail.
Gauge an olive grizzly Hackle against the hook, then tie it in by its tip at the tail end and walk the thread forward over the stem, smoothing the underbody as you go. Because there is no wire rib, it goes in straight at the back.
Wax the thread and spin a tight noodle of Ice Dub Olive Brown. Wrap touching turns forward in a slender taper, adding dubbing as you go, and stop short of the eye to leave a collar area.
Palmer the Hackle forward through the body in nice open bugger-style turns, capture it with a couple of wraps behind and a couple in front, and clip the excess.
Dub a short collar of Ice Dub Peacock in front of the hackle for contrast, sweeping some of the hackle rearward as you wrap.
Come up underneath and whip finish behind the bead.
