Reference Recipe
- Hook 3XL streamer, 8-12
- Thread olive 6/0 (140 denier)
Materials
- Gold bead Gold bead (1 (to fit hook))
- Marabou Olive marabou (1 tail plume)
- Krystal Flash Olive/pearl flash (4 strands)
- Chenille or dubbing Olive ice dub (1 length)
- Grizzly hackle Olive-dyed grizzly hackle (1 feather)
How to tie it
- Slide a gold bead to the hook eye, lock the hook in, and lay a thread base to the bend.
- Tie in an olive marabou tail one shank long, sparse and mobile, with a couple of flash strands each side.
- Tie in an olive grizzly hackle by its tip and a length of olive chenille (or dub a shaggy body) at the bend.
- Wrap the body forward to the bead and tie off.
- Palmer the hackle forward through the body in 5-6 evenly spaced turns and tie off behind the bead; pick out any trapped fibers.
- Whip finish behind the bead and cement.
