Hook 4x-long, 1x-strong streamer, barbless, #8-12 (tied here on a #10)
Thread Black 6/0 or 70 denier
Materials
Tinsel Silver (holographic used here; plain is fine) (Large, 1 length (body))
Bucktail Orange (any color works) (1 small tuft (lower wing))
Crystal flash Black holographic tinsel (A few strands (lateral line; a thin tuft of black bucktail substitutes))
Arctic fox White uni stretch (1 medium tuft, tied long (wing))
UV resin (1 big drop)
How to tie it
Pinch the barb, start black thread, and lay a base back to about the start of the bend.
Return the thread to a couple of eye-lengths behind the eye and tie in large silver tinsel.
Wrap the tinsel back to the bend and forward again in touching turns to the tie-in point; secure with a couple of wraps.
Tie a small tuft of orange bucktail on top of the shank, corded thread first to keep it from flaring; take a wrap under the bunch to stop it rolling around the shank, then trim the butts.
Tie in a few strands of black crystal flash directly over the bucktail to suggest a lateral line and add a hint of flash.
Tie in a medium tuft of white arctic fox on top, fairly long, leaving room for a big streamer head; take a couple of tight wraps back and then forward, and snip the fluff off the front.
Build a nice-sized streamer head with the thread and whip finish.
Add a big drop of UV resin, cure it under the light for 10-15 seconds while spinning the fly, for a hard shiny head.
