Start fluorescent orange thread in the middle of a wet fly hook and leave it about a third of the way back.
Catch in the brassie silver wire rib up front, then carry the thread back to the bend.
Wax the thread and spin on a good amount of black Super Bright. Don't fuss over a tight noodle — the rib will compress it.
Wrap the fuzzy body forward to the front of the shank.
Counter-wrap the silver wire rib forward in as many close turns as you need, which pulls the loose dubbing tight, then helicopter the wire off.
Take two thin slips of natural duck and set them in as a wing with a couple of wraps. Check the position and add a couple more so they lie fairly flat over the body, then snip the butts and wrap the area smooth.
Roll a small slip of guinea barbs between your fingers to unmarry them, flip the fly over and tie the throat in on the underside, short — no longer than the body front.
Turn back upright and spend plenty of wraps building a deliberately big fluorescent orange head as a hot spot, remembering resin or cement will grow it further.
Whip finish and coat the head with UV resin or head cement.
