- Thread tan 6/0
Materials
- Craft fur or EP fibers (claws/body) Tan craft fur (1 clump)

- Round rubber legs Tan/ginger rubber legs (2-3 pairs)
- Small lead dumbbell eyes n/a (1 pair)
- Mono weedguard Clear weed guard (1 loop)
How to tie it
- Tie in a mono weedguard length at the bend to set aside, then tie a small clump of tan craft fur and pearl flash as the trailing claws.
- Palmer or dub a flat, oval tan body along the shank. Crab-shaped, wider than it is tall.
- Figure-8 two or three pairs of tan/ginger rubber legs along the sides so they splay out.
- Lash small lead dumbbell eyes on top near the front so the fly rides point-up and drops softly.
- Trim the body flat on the bottom and to a round crab outline, keeping it sparse so it lands soft.
- Fold the mono weedguard forward, tie it off at the eye, whip finish, and cement.
