How to tie it
- Optional bead to the eye; start thread and lay a base to the bend.

- Dub a plump, tapered abdomen of green (or tan) sparkle dubbing forward to the 70% mark.
- Counter-wrap the wire forward in 5-6 open turns for a segmented, buggy abdomen, then tie off.
- Dub a darker, slightly fatter thorax collar behind the bead.
- Tie in a partridge feather by the tip and take one or two turns for a soft hackle, then sweep the fibers down and back.
- Pinch the fibers under the thorax, build a small head, whip finish and cement.
