Tyer Recipe

  • Hook 4x-long streamer, 2-6
  • Thread black 6/0

Materials

  • mylar tubing or braid Pearl mylar tinsel (body length)
  • rabbit zonker strip Natural or olive rabbit zonker strip (1 strip)
  • rubber legs Barred rubber legs (2-4 strands)

How to tie it

  1. Start thread behind the eye and lay a thread base back to the hook bend.
  2. Tie in the mylar/braid body over the rear two-thirds of the shank and wrap forward to form the body.
  3. Tie in a rabbit zonker strip at the head, pull it back over the top and pin it at the bend so it rides as a wing/tail.
  4. Tie a few strands of rubber legs on each side at the head.
  5. Build a small head and whip finish.
