Round rubber legs Barred brown/black rubber legs (3 pairs)
How to tie it
Lay a thread base along the full shank of the long curved hook.
At the bend tie in a pair of rubber legs splayed as tails, half a shank long.
Tie in the variegated chenille at the bend, then wind the thread forward to the eye.
Wrap the chenille forward in touching turns, pausing at the one-third and two-thirds marks to figure-8 in a pair of rubber legs at each spot so three sets stand out to the sides.
Continue the chenille to just behind the eye and tie off; leave the front leg pair pointing forward as antennae and trim all legs to about one shank length.
Build a small thread head, whip finish, and cement.
