Reference Recipe
- Hook barbless jig hook, 14-18
- Thread Black 70D
Materials
- Slotted tungsten bead Metallic pink bead (1, sized to hook)
- Tail Coq de Leon (pardo) (few fibers)
- Body dubbing Hare's ear (small pinch)
- Rib Copper wire (1 strand)
- Thorax dubbing Hare's ear (small pinch)
How to tie it
- Slide the metallic pink tungsten bead onto the jig hook; seat it and start black thread.
- Lay a base to the bend and bind a short sparse Coq de Leon tail, half a shank.
- Tie in fine copper wire at the tail.
- Dub a shaggy hare's-ear body two-thirds of the way forward.
- Counter-rib the copper wire in 5-6 turns and tie off.
- Dub a rougher hare's-ear thorax behind the bead and pick it out spiky for legs.
- Whip finish behind the pink bead and cement.
