Body Peacock herl / red floss / peacock herl (banded)
Wing White bucktail (1 sparse clump)
Throat hackle Brown hackle (1 small beard)
How to tie it
Start black thread behind the eye and wrap to the bend.
Tie in flat gold tinsel and wrap a small tag at the bend, then return the thread.
Bind a short golden pheasant tippet tail, about half a shank, over the tag.
Tie in 2-3 peacock herls and wrap a small ball at the rear; tie in red floss and wrap a center band, then a second peacock ball at the front. The classic royal banded body, ending at 75%.
Tie in a brown hackle-fiber beard under the shank reaching to the hook point.
Stack a sparse white bucktail wing and bind it on top, length to the end of the tail.
