How to tie it
Start olive thread behind the eye and lay a smooth base back to the bend.
Snip the tips off a grizzly-dyed olive marabou plume and bind a sparse clump one shank length long as the tail. Keep it sparse so it snakes rather than clumps.
Tie in fine gold wire at the tail, then twist the remaining marabou into a loose rope and wrap it forward to the 70% mark for a fuzzy, breathing body.
Counter-wrap the gold wire forward in 5-6 open turns to lock the marabou and add segmentation; tie off and break.
Dub or wrap a slightly fatter olive thorax from 70% to just behind the eye.
Sweep a few grizzly marabou fibers back along each side as suggested legs, bind them down, and build a small neat head.
