Dubbing (thorax) Dark brown/olive dubbing (small pinch)
How to tie it
Seat the tungsten bead at the eye and lay a thread base to the bend.
Tie in 3-4 pheasant tail fibers at the bend for the tail, half a shank long.
Tie in strands of yellow, olive and brown Ultra Wire together at the bend, twist them into a rope, and wrap forward to the 60% mark for a multi-hued segmented abdomen; tie off and break.
Tie in a slip of pheasant tail pointing rearward for the wingcase.
Dub a buggy dark thorax behind the bead.
Pull the pheasant-tail wingcase over the thorax and bind it behind the bead; optionally split a few tail fibers back on each side as legs.
