Materials
Plated lead dumbbell eyes Silver/plated dumbbell eyes (one pair, sized to hook)
Krystal Flash Pearl flashabou (4-6 strands for antennae)
Bucktail Tan bucktail (one sparse clump)
Easy Shrimp Eyes Black ostrich herl (one pair)
Ice Dub Orange ice dub (small pinch for egg-sack hot spot)
Rabbit dubbing Tan dubbing (enough to dub the body)
Easy Shrimp Legs 2.0 Tan/barred rubber legs (one set)
How to tie it
Start the thread one eye-length behind the hook eye and lash the plated lead eyes to the shank about a quarter shank behind the eye with tight figure-eight wraps, then circle the thread horizontally under the eyes to lock them; the weight will flip the fly point-up.
Wrap a thread base back to the bend. Tie in 4-6 strands of Krystal Flash at the bend as antennae, about one and a half shank lengths long.
Measure a sparse clump of tan bucktail one shank length long and bind it in over the flash at the bend, Clouser-style, to form the shrimp's mouthparts and tail fan.
Set an Easy Shrimp Eye along each side of the shank at the bend so the eye stems extend about one hook gap past the tie-in point; secure with tight wraps.
Dub a small ball of orange Ice Dub directly over the tie-in point to cover the butts and form the egg-sack hot spot.
Bind the Easy Shrimp Legs set along the underside of the shank so the legs splay toward the hook-point side, then dub a tapered body of tan rabbit forward in touching turns, stopping at the rear edge of the lead eyes.
Figure-eight a final pinch of tan rabbit dubbing around and between the lead eyes to hide the wraps.
Build a neat thread head between the lead eyes and the hook eye, whip finish, and cement the head.
