How to tie it
Slide the fluorescent-pink slotted bead onto the jig hook small-hole-first and seat it hard against the eye; lock the hook in the vise and start black thread behind the bead.
Bind a short black micro-zonker strip in at the bend for the tail, about one shank long, no more. Wet the fibers and stroke them back so the strip lies flat and won't foul under the hook gap.
At the tail base tie in the gold grizzly hackle by its tip and a strand of large pearl mylar tinsel, leaving both hanging to the rear.
Wrap the mylar tinsel forward in touching turns up to just behind the bead to build a slim, flashy body; bind it off and clip the excess.
Palmer the grizzly hackle forward over the body in 5-6 open, evenly spaced turns, bind it down behind the bead, and clip the tip.
Dub a sparse black Hare's Ear Plus collar right behind the bead, half the dubbing you think, then pick it out with a bodkin so it breathes in the water.
Whip finish against the back of the bead, snip the thread, and add a drop of cement to the collar wraps.
