Start fluorescent thread and tie in a short, thick chunk of sparkle/Antron yarn at the back as a stub tail; trim.
Cut a strip of thin foam (a little narrower than the hook gap) to a point and lightly singe the tip. Add a thin base of dubbing on the shank, then tie the foam point in just ahead of the tail (dubbing under the foam keeps it from spinning).
Advance the thread forward, adding a little dubbing between segments and lightly stretching the foam, to form about three body bumps between the tail and head.
At the front, take the thread to the eye, pull the foam forward over the top, and lock it down with thread wraps, covering that section.
Tie in a beefy wing of EP Trigger Point fibers: start the thread band at the front, wrap back, then pull the wing back over itself so it angles rearward. Add a short contrasting indicator tuft the same way and trim.
Trim the foam head to a short tab (round the hard edges if you like) and rough-trim the wing.
Add dubbing where the legs will sit, then tie in grizzly micro rubber legs by looping one strand around the shank so a leg sits on each side; cover the thread with more dubbing and advance to the eye.
Trim the body to a fat drake profile. Optionally shape the wing like a mayfly wing (cut the top flat, then trim underneath at an angle). Whip finish and add a drop of water-based head cement.
