Kahuna foam (RIO Kahuna) / closed-cell foam Olive/blue kahuna foam rio kahuna closed cell foam (extended body and back)
Rubber legs Barred rubber legs (3 pairs (underneath))
Sparkle/organza wing Pearl anti static bag strip (1 pair)
Bead-chain or dumbbell eyes Peacock/large (1 pair (sunglasses eyes))
Dubbing Olive ice dub (thorax)
How to tie it
Start thread and tie a pair of large bead-chain or dumbbell 'sunglasses' eyes near the front of the shank to represent the dragonfly's bulbous eyes.
At the bend, tie in a strip of Kahuna/closed-cell foam extending well past the bend as the floating extended abdomen; segment it with a few thread wraps if desired.
Tie in a sparkle wing material (organza/pearl flash) flat over the body, splayed to the sides, for the wings.
Tie in rubber legs underneath the shank (where a real dragonfly's legs sit), not out to the sides.
Dub a chunky olive thorax between the wing/legs and the eyes.
Fold a section of foam forward over the top as a back/head and tie it down behind the eyes.
