Start fine mono thread and tie a sparse clump of tan craft fur above the hook point for the tail, keeping some underfur for translucent bulk; length about 1.5 shanks.
At mid-shank tie a pinch of white Laser Dub underneath and a pinch of light tan on top, splitting each so it flares into a V that surrounds the shank.
Repeat the light-belly / dark-back Laser Dub stacking working forward, adding a wisp of pearl and blending amber into the back.
Finish at the eye with white on the bottom and darker tan on top, keeping the belly deep and the profile slim like an anchovy.
Comb all fibers back toward the bend, build a small thread dam, and comb the whole fly to a smooth teardrop baitfish shape.
Brush a thin coat of UV resin (or Liquid Fusion) over the head from eye to bend, cure/dry, then glue a Living Eye to each side.
