Start black Uni 8/0 thread right behind the bead of a small jig hook, keeping thread passes to a minimum.
Tie a length of small red wire along the SIDE of the hook shank (not the top) to give a wider-than-deep profile, and secure it back to the bend.
Tie in two strands of black-purple Flashabou (#6997) on top of the shank at the bend.
Stack the thread forward over the flashabou to build a slim tapered underbody, then wrap the two flashabou strands back and forward to form a tapered body and tie off, leaving the tag ends.
Wrap the red wire forward through the body in open turns as a rib and tie it off; helicopter off the excess.
Tie off the black thread and start red thread; build a small red head behind the bead.
Coat the head with a drop of thin UV clear resin and cure. Trim the two flashabou tag ends short.
