UV resin Hot orange uv resin (butt hot spot)
Vinyl/rubber legs (tail)
Pearl quill (rib)
Antron/buggy-nymph dubbing Golden stone (body)
CDC feather Natural dun cdc feather (1 (soft-hackle collar))
Mallard flank Wood-duck gold (collar)
How to tie it
Slide the biggest tungsten bead you can onto a #6 jig hook and add.2 non-toxic lead wire to weight the shank. Lay a white-thread base over the rear of the shank.
Coat the rear (butt) with hot-orange UV resin in sections, curing each turn, to build a hot spot over the white thread.
Switch to brown thread. Tie in vinyl/rubber legs on top at the rear, using the hot spot to split them into a divided tail.
Tie in a strand of pearl quill for the rib.
Dub a tapered body of golden-stone Antron/buggy-nymph dubbing (like an oversized bird's nest), leaving room at the head.
Wrap the pearl quill forward as a segmented, iridescent rib; tie off and trim.
Tie in a large natural dun CDC feather by the tip and palmer it as a soft-hackle collar, pinning the fibers back with thread wraps; trim the stem.
Tie in a clump of wood-duck-gold mallard flank as an over-collar, then whip finish behind the bead and cement.
