Krystal Flash Orange holographic tinsel (3 strands doubled per side)
Sparkle Minnow Brush (MFC, belly) Hot yellow sparkle minnow brush
Sparkle Minnow Brush (MFC, body) Peacock ice dub
Epoxy baitfish eyes Red uv resin (4mm)
How to tie it
Lock Semperfli Nano Silk 6/0 orange onto a Gamakatsu B10S size 1 hook: wrap forward to the eye and back to about the hook point, building a thread base.
Prep three to four barred yellow/black MFC marabou plumes: pluck from the stem, wet each in water, align the tips, and strip away the short and loose fibers to reduce bulk.
Stack the plumes tip-to-tip and measure a tail about one shank-length plus two eye-lengths long. Secure with a pinch wrap (spin the bobbin counter-clockwise to jump the thread back), lock down and wrap forward letting the butts taper; trim the excess.
Tie in three strands of orange Krystal Flash doubled over (six strands) along each side of the tail.
Tie in the hot-yellow Sparkle Minnow Brush and wrap it forward as the belly/underbody.
Tie in the peacock Sparkle Minnow Brush and wrap it forward over the top as the body, brushing the fibers back with each turn; tie off behind the eye.
Mount a pair of 4mm red epoxy baitfish eyes at the head, seat them with resin or glue, and build and finish the head.
