How to tie it
Slide a fluorescent-orange tungsten instant-jig head onto the hook (smaller hole first) and seat it at the eye.
Lay a thread base about halfway down the shank and back to the front, then run a bead of superglue behind the head, set it into position and hold a few seconds so it won't spin, building a small thread dam behind it.
Tie in one orange marabou feather (folded back and lightly wetted) for a short tail about the length of the body, then wrap the butts forward up the shank for a smooth underbody and trim.
Tie in two strands of orange crystal flash on each side of the tail, keeping them at or slightly shorter than the tail length.
Tie in a length of burnt-orange medium wire along the near side and wrap the thread back to the tail base.
Blend a small pinch of black dubbing into pearl 'minnow' Ice Dub and dub a thin, tapered body forward with touching wraps up to behind the jig head.
Counter-wrap the wire rib forward about six turns, then tie it off and helicopter away the excess.
Tie in round rubber legs at the sides behind the head and trim them to length.
Build a small thread head behind the jig bead and whip finish.
