Tyer Recipe
- Hook Gamakatsu B10S (front) + Kona ESS (rear), articulated, #1 front, #6 rear
- Thread White GSP or 140 denier
Materials
- Bucktail White/natural bucktail (tail (rear hook))
- EP Foxy Brush To match ep minnow head brush in (rear and front body)
- EP Sparkle Brush Pearl anti static bag strip (front body)
- Arctic fox To match ep minnow head brush in (wing (front))
- Deer hair To match deer hair (spun head)
- Articulation wire + beads (1 set)
How to tie it
- REAR HOOK (Kona ESS #6): start thread and tie in a bucktail tail at the bend, about one and a half shank-lengths long.
- Tie in an EP Foxy Brush and wrap it forward to build the rear body; brush it out rearward and tie off. Whip finish.
- Connect the rear hook to the front Gamakatsu B10 #1 with articulation wire and a bead or two, lashed securely to the front shank.
- On the front hook, tie in EP Foxy Brush and EP Sparkle Brush and wrap them forward, stroking fibers back, to build a fuller front body.
- Tie in an arctic fox wing over the top for movement.
- Spin a bundle or two of deer hair at the front to form a head; pack it tight.
- Whip finish, then trim the spun deer hair to a rounded baitfish head blended into the body.
