Sighter material Fluorescent orange/pink sighter material (small tuft (hot spot))
How to tie it
Start the thread on a short stinger hook and wrap to the bend.
Tie in a short tail of pearl and orange Krystal Flash at the bend.
Dub a slim, low-riding body of ice-dub over the rear two-thirds of the shank, adding a subtle bright hot-spot.
At the front third, stack and spin a bundle of deer hair (or cinch on a foam pad) to build a large, buoyant 'pom' head, keeping the tips flared back as a collar.
Add a small tuft of bright sighter material on top of the head for visibility.
Trim and shape the deer-hair head large and rounded so it displaces water and rides 'sticky' on the surface, then whip finish and cement.
