Tyer Recipe

  • Hook Standard dry fly, 16-20
  • Thread Black 8/0

Materials

  • Tag Gold middle (flat tinsel)
  • Rear hackle Brown hackle (1 feather)
  • Body Peacock ice dub (herl)
  • Front hackle White/cream front hackle (1 feather)

How to tie it

  1. Start thread at the bend and tie in a small gold tinsel tag.
  2. Tie in and wind a brown hackle as the rear (aft) collar.
  3. Tie in peacock herl and wrap a short body forward.
  4. Tie in and wind a white hackle as the front collar just behind the eye.
  5. Tie off, build a small head and whip finish.
