Collar Purple arctic fox (Fulling Mill Tactical Microflash Dub UV)
Resin Clear uv resin (Solarez Bone Dry UV resin)
How to tie it
Seat the 2.4mm light pink slotted bead against the jig eye and start the black 70D behind it. On a size 24 the thread has to be flattened and kept to a single layer or the fly disappears under its own wraps.
Tie in the small red wire at the 60% mark and wrap the thread back over it to the start of the bend, then take four or five touching turns of the wire at the very rear to form the red tag.
Wrap the wire back forward to the 60% mark under the thread, or tie it off at the tag and trim, then build a slim black thread body over it up to the 70% mark.
Tie in a black CDC feather by the tip at the 70% mark and take one and a half turns as a soft hackle, then sweep the fibers back and lock them. At this size one turn of CDC is a full collar, any more and the fly will refuse to sink.
Dub a tiny purple UV microflash collar over the CDC butts up to the bead, whip finish, and touch the thread body with Bone Dry so the red tag and thread stay put through repeated grayling.
