Streamer · Trout · Smallmouth Bass · Intermediate · 1 version

Reference Recipe

  • Hook Long-shank streamer or jig, 8-12
  • Thread Red 70 denier

Materials

  • Marabou Black or olive marabou (1 plume (tail))
  • Glass seed beads Red, small (6-8 (body))
  • Marabou or soft dubbing Black or olive chenille ice dub (collar)
  • UV resin Clear uv resin (body coat)

How to tie it

  1. Start red thread and tie in a marabou tail one and a half shank lengths at the bend.
  2. Thread a row of small red glass beads onto the shank for the translucent body, slide them back, and lock them front and rear with thread.
  3. In front of the beads tie in and wrap a short marabou or soft-dubbing collar, stroking the fibers back so they pulse.
  4. Build a small red head and whip finish.
  5. Coat the glass-bead body with a thin layer of UV resin so it stands up to teeth, then cure.
