Classic Recipe

- Thread Red/brown 8/0
Materials
- Bead Gold tungsten bead (1)
- Tail CDL (sparse)
- Body Red Holo tinsel or thread, coated (smooth)
- Collar Hare or squirrel dubbing (buggy)
How to tie it
- Slide a gold tungsten bead onto the jig hook and mount it. Start red/brown thread behind the bead.
- Tie in a few sparse Coq de Leon fibers at the bend for a tail about one shank long.
- Tie in red holographic tinsel (or build a red thread body) and wrap a smooth, slim body forward to the thorax.
- Coat the body with a thin layer of UV resin and cure it for a hard, fast-sinking perdigon finish.
- Dub a short buggy collar of hare or squirrel behind the bead and pick it out.
- Whip finish behind the bead and cement.
