Tyer Recipe

• Hook curved scud/pupa hook, 10-16
• Thread Red 8/0

Materials

• Bead Black or silver bead (1)
• Thread body Red thread (shank length)
• Wire rib Black wire (1 length)
• Antron gills White poly yarn (small tuft)

How to tie it

1. Slide the bead to the eye, start red thread and wrap to above the barb.
2. Tie in the black wire rib, then build a slim red body two-thirds up the shank.
3. Rib the black wire forward in open spirals and tie off.
4. Coat the body with UV resin for a glossy segmented finish.
5. Tie in a short white antron gill tuft behind the bead and whip finish.
