Materials

  • Bead Gold bead (1)
  • Tail Brown goose biots (2)
  • Body Purple peacock/Ice dub (1 pinch)
  • Rib Gold tinsel (1 length)
  • Hackle Brown hackle (1 feather)
  • Wing White goose biots (2)

How to tie it

  1. Slide a gold bead to the eye and start thread behind it.
  2. Tie in two brown goose biots as a split tail one gap long.
  3. Tie in gold rib and dub a purple body forward to just behind the bead.
  4. Counter-wrap the gold rib in evenly spaced turns and tie off.
  5. Wrap two turns of brown hackle as a collar and sweep the fibres down.
  6. Tie in two white goose biots as a V-wing over the back, splayed in a shallow V.
  7. Build a small head against the bead and whip finish.
