- Hook standard dry-fly hook, 12-18
- Thread Purple 8/0
Materials
- Hackle fibers or moose (tail) Mixed Brown/Grizzly (small bunch)
- Sparkle/flash dubbing (body) Purple ice dub (pinch)
- Para-post wing White uni stretch (1 clump)
- Dry hackle (parachute) Grizzly hackle (1 feather)
How to tie it
- Mount the hook and start the thread at the 70% mark.
- Tie in a white para-post wing upright at the 70% mark and post its base with thread wraps.
- Tie in a mixed grizzly/brown tail, one shank length long, at the bend.
- Dub a slim purple sparkle-dubbing body from the bend forward to the post.
- Tie in a grizzly hackle at the base of the post.
- Wrap the hackle parachute-style in 5-6 turns down the post and tie off under the post.
- Whip finish and add a small drop of cement at the eye.
