Materials
- Tungsten or brass bead Tangerine / Fl. Orange tungsten or brass bead (1 (3.2mm))
- Marabou (tail) Olive marabou (1 small clump)
- Simi Seal / ice dub (body) Peacock or olive arizona simi seal dubbing (pinch)
- Grizzly hackle (palmered) Burnt orange grizzly (1 feather)
How to tie it
- Slide the orange bead to the eye, mount the hook, and start olive thread behind the bead.
- Tie in an olive marabou tail one shank length long and bind the butts down to the bend.
- Tie in a burnt-orange grizzly hackle by its tip at the bend, tip pointing rearward.
- Dub a shaggy peacock Simi Seal body from the bend forward to just behind the bead.
- Palmer the hackle forward in 5-6 open, evenly spaced turns and tie it off behind the bead.
- Whip finish behind the bead and cement; pick out the dubbing and hackle so the fly looks alive.
