- Hook 3XL streamer hook, 4-10
- Thread Black 6/0
Materials
- Bead or cone (optional) Gold or black bead (1)
- Marabou (tail) Angler's choice (1 plume)
- Flash Pearl or Krystal Flash (few strands)
- Chenille (body) To match chenille (1 length)
- Saddle hackle (palmer) To match saddle hackle (1 feather)
- Wire rib Copper wire (1 length)
How to tie it
- Slide a bead or cone to the eye (optional) and lay a thread base to the bend.
- Tie in a marabou tail about one shank length long and add a few strands of flash alongside.
- Tie in fine copper wire, then a saddle hackle by its tip, then the chenille. All at the bend.
- Wrap the chenille forward to the bead and tie off.
- Palmer the hackle forward in 5-6 evenly spaced turns to the bead and secure.
- Counter-wrap the wire forward through the hackle in open turns to lock it and armor the stem, then helicopter off the tag.
- Build a small head, whip finish, and cement.
