Cactus chenille, medium Red cactus chenille medium (few wraps)
Mason hard mono, 40 lb (anti-foul loop) - (1 piece)

How to tie it
Start chartreuse thread and wrap it back to behind the barb; tie in red cactus chenille and take a few wraps for a gills/egg-sac base, then trim.
Tie in a Mason hard-mono loop on top of the shank with its curve running straight down the hook so it will keep the rabbit strip from fouling.
Cut a 3-4 in zonker strip, tie it in at the front by the hide where the colours change, pierce the strip about an inch back, pass the mono loop up through the hole and back down to the shank, and tie down so the strip lies flat and anchored.
Wrap UV polar (or palmer) chenille forward to the strip tie-in, four or five turns, to build a flash base.
Split a clump of arctic fox (guard hairs removed) over the top and bottom of the shank, about an inch long, and trim it into an even taper.
Work the thread forward and build a tapered thread head the size you want, then whip finish.
Wax and singe any stray fibres, then coat the head with Loon hardhead/UV thick to build a smooth even head; cure.
Glue a 1/8 in fluorescent stick-on eye to each side, add a final coat over the eyes, and cure.
