How to tie it
Slide the foam head onto the hook shank dry to check fit, then remove it and lay a thread base on the rear half of the shank.
Tie in a bucktail tail one and a half shank lengths long, then flank it with saddle hackles and top with Flash 'N Slinky.
Lash a worm rattle to the shank ahead of the tail and bind it down with crisscross wraps. The rattle adds the click that draws fish in low light.
Wrap a collar of Estaz over the rattle wraps up to the head position, filling the space so the foam head seats snug against it.
Coat the front of the shank with strong adhesive and press the asymmetric foam head on, eye clear. The angled face of that head is what makes the fly 'walk the dog' side to side.
Let the glue cure, then whip finish behind the eye if needed and cement.
