  • Hook Standard nymph/emerger, 16-18
  • Thread Pale yellow 8/0

Materials

  • Tail hackle fibers Brown hackle fibers (small bunch)
  • Abdomen dubbing Pale yellow-olive (PMD) (small)
  • Wingcase hackle fibers Brown hackle fibers (small bunch)
  • Thorax dubbing Pale yellow-olive thorax dubbing (small)

How to tie it

  1. Start thread behind the eye and run a base to the bend.
  2. Tie in a short bunch of brown hackle fibers as a tail at the bend.
  3. Dub a slim tapered abdomen forward over the rear two-thirds of the shank.
  4. Tie in a bunch of brown hackle fibers pointing forward over the eye to form the emerging wingcase/legs.
  5. Dub a slightly fuller thorax up to behind the eye.
  6. Pull the wingcase fibers back over each side as legs, secure, and whip finish behind the eye.
