- Hook Standard nymph/emerger, 16-18
- Thread Pale yellow 8/0
Materials
- Tail hackle fibers Brown hackle fibers (small bunch)
- Abdomen dubbing Pale yellow-olive (PMD) (small)
- Wingcase hackle fibers Brown hackle fibers (small bunch)
- Thorax dubbing Pale yellow-olive thorax dubbing (small)
How to tie it
- Start thread behind the eye and run a base to the bend.
- Tie in a short bunch of brown hackle fibers as a tail at the bend.
- Dub a slim tapered abdomen forward over the rear two-thirds of the shank.
- Tie in a bunch of brown hackle fibers pointing forward over the eye to form the emerging wingcase/legs.
- Dub a slightly fuller thorax up to behind the eye.
- Pull the wingcase fibers back over each side as legs, secure, and whip finish behind the eye.
