- Thread Tan or white 6/0
Materials
- Bucktail (tail) Pale cream / tan bucktail (clump)
- Mylar tinsel (body) Gold or silver mylar tinsel (1 strand, flat)

How to tie it
- Start the thread at the bend and tie in a clump of pale bucktail as the tail, about one shank length long.
- Catch in the flat mylar tinsel at the tail and wrap the thread forward to just behind the eye.
- Wind the tinsel forward in touching turns to build a smooth body, then bind it off behind the eye and snip.
- Stack a second clump of pale bucktail and tie it in as the wing on top, reaching to the end of the tail.
- Add a few strands of pearl flash along the wing if desired, then trim the butts.
- Build a neat tapered head, whip finish and coat with cement or UV resin.
