Tyer Recipe

  • Hook Streamer, 2XL, 8-12
  • Thread Black 6/0

Materials

  • Spinner blade with clevis Silver or gold spinner blade with clevis (1)
  • Bead Metal (1)
  • Marabou To match marabou (tail)
  • Chenille To match chenille (body)
  • Saddle hackle To match saddle hackle (1 for collar)

How to tie it

  1. Slide a spinner blade on a clevis and a bead onto the hook and seat them behind the eye.
  2. Start the thread behind the bead and wrap back to the bend.
  3. Tie in a marabou tail about one shank length long.
  4. Tie in chenille and wrap it forward to just behind the bead; tie off.
  5. Tie in and wrap a hackle collar behind the bead, then sweep the fibres back.
  6. Whip finish behind the bead so the blade spins freely.
