  • Hook Partridge CS15, 4
  • Thread Danville Mono, White, Danville 70 Denier, Pink & Black 3/0

Materials

  • Rib Danville Silver/Gold Mylar Tinsel, #10, Silver
  • Body Danville 4-Strand Rayon Floss, Pink
  • Throat Pink hackle
  • Wing Four to Six strands of Peacock herl, Four Natural Grizzly Hackles
  • Cheek Jungle cock
  • Head Black with a Pink Band

How to tie it

  1. Lay a thread base on the curved hook down to the bend. Tie in a few amber Zelon fibers as a short trailing shuck, about half a shank long.
  2. Dub a slim pinkish-salmon abdomen up and around the curve to the 60% mark.
  3. Tie in a short clump of dun CDC as an emerging wing, tips reaching just past the thorax.
  4. Dub a slightly darker, fuller thorax in front of and around the wing base.
  5. Sweep the CDC wing rearward over the thorax and secure it with a couple of wraps at the eye.
  6. Whip finish and add a tiny drop of cement, keeping it off the CDC.
