Flash back Pink wing n flash fibres (few strands Krystal Flash)
Thorax Peacock or dark ice dub (1-2 herls / dark dubbing)
Parachute hackle Grizzly or blue dun hackle (1 feather)
How to tie it
Run the thread from behind the eye down the curved shank into the bend. Tie in an upright poly post at the 60% mark and stand it up with wraps around the base.
Tie in a few strands of pink flash pointing rearward, then dub a tapered pink abdomen down into the curve of the bend so it hangs below the surface film.
Pull the pink flash over the top of the abdomen as a shellback and secure at the front of the abdomen.
Dub a dark peacock-toned thorax around the base of the post.
Tie in the hackle at the post base and wind it 4-5 turns horizontally around the post, each turn under the last.
Secure the hackle tip, whip finish under the hackle and add a drop of cement to the post base only.
