Start the thread and tie in a clump of wood duck flank at the 70% mark as upright wings; divide them into two with figure-8 wraps and post the bases upright.
Bind a small bunch of ginger hackle fibers along the shank to the bend for a tail one shank length long.
Dub or wrap a pink body from the bend forward to just behind the wings.
Tie in one to two ginger hackles by the stem behind the wings.
Wind the hackle 2-3 turns behind the wings and 2-3 turns in front, then tie off.
Build a small thread head, whip finish and cement.
