Extended body Olive/green 2mm foam (1 wide pre-cut strip)
Legs Olive/black barred rubber legs (2-3 pairs Sili Legs)
Thorax Olive ostrich herl (pinch dubbing)
Indicator post Orange 2mm foam (1 tab)
How to tie it
Lay a thread base over the shank for grip.
Bind a wide olive foam strip on top at the bend and extend it past the hook for the long dragonfly abdomen; segment it with 3-4 open thread wraps, then return the thread forward.
Figure-8 in two pairs of rubber legs on the sides, splayed wide like a dragonfly's.
Dub a chunky olive thorax between and ahead of the legs.
Fold the front foam forward over the thorax to build a broad head/wingcase and lock it down behind the eye.
Post a small orange foam tab for visibility, whip finish, cement and trim the legs and rear foam.
