How to tie it
- Lash bead-chain or dumbbell eyes near the hook eye so the fly rides point-up over the flats.
- At the bend, tie in a sparse tan bucktail tail with a few strands of pearl flash for the antennae, about one shank long.
- Bind a length of clear mono at the bend to fold forward later as the translucent shell back.
- Dub a tapered shrimp body forward and palmer a ginger hackle through it, then sweep the fibers down as legs.
- Pull the mono shell over the back, cinch behind the eyes, and figure-eight around them.
- Whip finish at the eye, snip, and add a drop of head cement.
