  • Hook curved scud/nymph hook, 18-22

Materials

  • Slotted tungsten bead Silver bead (1)
  • Tying thread (body) Black thread (as needed)
  • Fine wire or tinsel rib Silver oval tinsel (1 strand)
  • UV resin Clear uv resin (thin coat)

How to tie it

  1. Slide a silver slotted bead to the eye and start thread behind it.
  2. Run the thread in touching turns back to the point, building a slim tapered body no fatter than the bead.
  3. Counter-wrap a fine silver rib forward in 5-6 open, even turns for segmentation and tie off behind the bead.
  4. Whip finish behind the bead and snip.
  5. Skim the whole body with a thin coat of UV resin and cure to a glassy shell so it sinks fast and stays slick.
