How to tie it
Start thread behind the eye and lay a smooth base back to the point.
Tie in a sparse white belly clump the length of one-and-a-half shanks under the hook, tips to the rear.
Roll on a pearl flash veil, then stack a yellow clump on the sides and a thin olive clump over the top so the fly reads pale-belly, dark-back like a perch fry.
Build a neat thread head, whip finish, and snip the thread.
Bar the olive back with vertical black marker strokes to fake the perch stripes, then set a stick-on eye each side.
Coat the head and eyes with a thin skim of UV resin and cure to lock everything in.
